Gas bubble disease, spawn stress and hot temperatures appear to be the cause of thousands of dead fish found floating in Lake Barkley last week, according to state officials.
Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection spokesman Lannie Brannock tells the News Edge the information he received from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Kentucky Division of Water’s Paducah Division indicates that Asian Carp fish died Tuesday in Lake Barkley.
