Support Continues To Grow In War On Carp

Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White, U.S. Senator Rand Paul staff members, Rachel McCubbin & John Hasert

U.S. Senator Rand Paul’s staff was in Lyon County this week to discuss and plan what they can do to help in the fight against Asian Carp in area lakes.

Judge-Executive Wade White tells the News Edge he had a great information meeting with Rachel McCubbin and Jason Hasert about what they need from Congress regarding removing silver and bighead carp from Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. He says they discussed all the things Kentucky Fish and Wildlife and Tennessee are doing, as well as what is being done on a local level to raise money for carpharvestfund.com. In addition, he talked to them about the two main priorities Congress could do to help.

According to Judge White, he thinks Senator Paul, Senator Mitch McConnell and Congressman James Comer are really inspired about the work they are trying to do on the local level to fight the Asian Carp problem.
