A fire in a tractor-trailer hauling coal led to Gracey Herndon Road being blocked for several hours Sunday afternoon.
Christian County emergency personnel say the fire started in the trailer on Interstate 24 and led to part of the coal burning.
The coal was then dumped onto Gracey Herndon Road near the intersection of Interstate 24.
The road will remain blocked until 9 pm as the coal is cleaned up.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency has also been called to help in the clean-up.
