Graveside Services 91-year old Marie Gardner Mitchell of Pembroke will be at Rosedale Cemetery in Pembroke on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM with Brother Terry Joiner officiating and burial to follow.
Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Marie Gardner Mitchell, age 91, of Pembroke, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at her residence of natural causes.
Mrs. Mitchell was born on April 7, 1933, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of the late Alvin and Alta Berry Gardner. Marie worked around the farm as well as being a homemaker and bookkeeper for Willard Mitchell Electric. She attended Bethel Baptist Church in Fairview. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Brooks Mitchell, in 2005, and her sister, Shirley Radford.
Survivors include her two daughters, Karen Mitchell Pyle of Pembroke, and Charlotte M. Hendricks of Pembroke; her grandson, Kevin (Nicole) Hendricks of Texas; and her three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Bethel Baptist Church in Fairview or Max’s Hope.
