Hopkinsville Police say four people were injured when 23-year-old Stephen Bussell fired shots from his vehicle in front of the Christian County Health Department just before 7.

Three people were taken by private vehicle to the hospital with one being transferred to a Nashville hospital and a fourth person was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to an awaiting helicopter from the scene of the shooting.

West 17th Street at Canton Street was blocked for several hours as law enforcement collected over 15 shell casings that were in the road.

Bussell was later arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence, four counts of first-degree assault, and seven counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
