Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation announced Friday the return of country music to the 2024 Summer Salute Festival coming in late August.

Officials announced that country group Parmalee would take to the Summer Salute Justice Center Stage on Saturday, August 24. The group is comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox, and friend Josh McSwain, and have had chart-topping hits like “Just the Way,” “Carolina,” and their current single to country radio, “Gonna Love You.” Parmalee was last in Christian County in 2018 for Oak Grove’s Spring Into Summer Festival.

The 8th annual Summer Salute Festival will feature the Jimmy Church Band as Friday night’s main stage entertainment along with a diverse lineup of talented artists, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. While all vendor spots have been filled, sponsorship and advertisement opportunities are still available for businesses or organizations interested in supporting the festival.
