Jimmy Breathett Henderson, 89, of Crofton, Kentucky died at 8:22 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at noon at Crofton Christian Church. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at Crofton Christian Church. Dogwood Funerals and Cremations is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky he was born on May 31, 1934, the son of Lucian Lee Henderson and Jimmie Ruth Cannon Henderson. He met and married Glenda Putty Henderson and together they raised one son. He was a graduate of Lacy School. In his working years, he was employed with the Peabody Mining Company where he retired after 40 years. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Glenda; brothers: Cecil T. Henderson; and Melvin Lee Henderson; and sister: Mable C. Johnson.
Survivors include son: Rocky Henderson of Atlanta, Georgia; and sister Sue (Marlin) Benton of Georgetown, South Carolina.
Instead of Flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Crofton Christian Church.
