Catherine Waddell, 82, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Saint John Baptist Church with Rev. N.A. Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Saint John Baptist Church. Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Catherine Waddell is survived by her children, Anthony Maurice Waddell, Frances Latangela Edwards, Clarice Yolanda (Michael) Burse, Rosaland Anita Waddell, Stephanie Arlene Garriga, Kim Rosena Waddell, Nancy Louise Green, and Iris Selene Waddell. Siblings, Paul E. (Shirley) Waddell, Rev. Paul (Sharon) Lovan, Lula Mae Mason (Mike Brody), Loretta Delois Hudson (Gary Barker), Lee Allen Hopson, William Earl Hopson, Ellery Desmond (Jennifer) Hopson, and Larry Darnell Hopson; 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Devoted companion, Harrison Crump, Sr.
