Ham Broadcasting Company, known as The Edge Media Group, is proud to announce the acquisition of Sound Broadcasters of Madisonville.
Sound Broadcasters is owned and operated by Bob Kelley and his family. The company includes WFMW 730 AM and 107.7 FM, 93.9 WKTG-FM, Mad Mix 105.9 and The Drive Classic Hits 94.9
The Edge Media Group President and CEO Beth Mann says her team is excited to bring Sound Broadcasters into the Ham Broadcasting family.
Sound Broadcasters President Bob Kelley says as he transitions to retirement, he is pleased to know the stations that his family have owned and operated for more than four decades will continue to serve the community as a part of The Edge Media Group.
The stations are operating under a Local Management Agreement that began July 1st and will continue until the Federal Communications Commission approves the acquisition.
The Edge Media Group is an employee-owned company that operates 106.5 WKDZ-FM, WKDZ-AM 1110 and 100.9 FM in Cadiz, WHVO-AM 1480 and 96.5 FM in Hopkinsville, WPKY 1580-AM and 103.3 FM in Princeton, and WEKT 1070 AM and 92.1 FM in Elkton.
