Cadiz Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges

Cadiz Police arrested a Farmers Lane man Monday morning on trespassing and drug-related charges after he was told multiple times to leave an Anna Street residence.

According to the arrest report, 33-year-old Rexford T. Music of Cadiz was passed out inside his vehicle in the driveway of the residence without permission of the homeowner. Cadiz Police Major Tyler Thomas arrived and asked Music to exit the vehicle. Thomas said he found a handgun on Music as well a small container of prepackaged pills suspected to be Xanax. Police also reported finding packaged marijuana and methamphetamine.

Music was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing; trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces; trafficking in a controlled substance – first and second degree; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; public intoxication; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
