Christian County Schools Add Discipline Positions

In wake of the recent agreement between the Office for Civil Rights and the Christian County Public Schools, the district is announcing the addition of two positions, a discipline administrator and a discipline coordinator. The two positions were formed to improve the district’s disciplinary system so that all students receive equitable treatment. In addition, school officials say the district plans to impose less frequent exclusionary discipline and will increase students’ educational opportunities.

Kim Stevenon

North Drive Middle School Principal Kim Stevenson has been named as the district’s discipline administrator. Stevenson served as a teacher and as an assistant principal before she began her position as the NDMS principal two years ago.

Ruth Lynch

Ruth Lynch will soon add the title of discipline coordinator to her current position as the minority recruiter. Lynch has served as an elementary teacher and as the district’s Minority Recruiter for the past 23 years. Start dates for both positions are yet to be determined by district officials.
