Dinner By The River Coming Up



Officials are announcing the details concerning this year’s “Dinner by the River” which will be coming up later this month.  The 7th annual event, which is the major fundraiser for the Jeffers’ Bend Environmental and Botanical Gardens is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center.
 
The menu for the evening is a home cooked dinner which includes grilled pork chop, baked potato, green beans, salad, rolls, dessert, and drink. There will also be live music from the Alonzo Pennington Band. The evening will also feature a silent auction with a long list of items available for bidding. “Dinner by the River” is geared toward enjoyment by adults with a complete dinner, music and the peacefulness and serenity of nature at its best on the lawn beside the river.
 
Tickets are available for 20 dollars each, or a table of 8 for $160, and should be purchased by June 18th. Tickets are available by contacting Charles Turner at 270-885-5600, or Maggie Selvidge at 270-886-8078. Tickets are also available at the Chamber of Commerce and the Christian County Tourism Office.
