The National Weather Service has extended the Flood Warning for western Kentucky until 3:00pm Saturday. The forecast is calling for shows and thunderstorms to move across the area again later today and this evening, resulting in additional rainfall of up to 2 inches, possibly higher amounts with stronger thunderstorm activity. Forecasters indicate this will only worsen existing areal flood issues across the warned area.
If you encounter flooded roads, please turn around, don't drown. The National Weather Service says most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
