Fort Campbell Soldiers Will Not Receive Pay

With the government shutdown now in effect, Fort Campbell Officials say the post will be operating with limited staffing. Officials say all active duty military personnel will continue to serve and accrue pay but will not be paid until appropriations are enacted. Meanwhile, civilians are furloughed without accrual of pay, with the exception of those expected for certain activities.

Military medical treatment facilities will likely scale back operations, and routine medical and dental procedures and elective surgery/procedures may be stopped. Officials say maintenance activities not directly related to military operations will stop. New contracts will most likely not be executed unless the contractor is supporting an excepted activity and contracts will not be paid until appropriations are enacted.

Officials say personnel, both civilian and military, should contact their immediate supervisor or chain of command for installation specific information, which will be posted here as it becomes available.
