Oliver Resurrects Trigg Supply Legacy In Cadiz

Even now, John Oliver still has that final 2003 Trigg Supply calendar hanging in his office.

So it should come as no surprise that, this past November, he decided to revive the name and re-establish one of the community’s beloved businesses.

Dormant for the past 20 years after his grandparents, George and Thelma Dean Dall, decided to close up shop, Oliver said he had long wanted to continue the legacy of a one-stop-shop for residential, non-commercial building needs.

That time has arrived, and Trigg Supply sales have already been conducted through his Ace Drywall & Acoustical at 488 Oliver Road — which has been around since 2013.

This growth, he said, includes an addition to his own Ace Drywall property. A building pad has been leveled and grated with stakes placed, and all it needs now is a contractor to throw up some walls.

His vision is for the warehouse to feel like “a mini 84 Lumber,” and already Oliver has sold a house package or two and some metal roofing, with more to come.

That hardware product, combined with his commercial efforts, could make up the full catalog of needs for local and regional builders and shoppers looking to fill their punch lists.

More importantly, Oliver feels there’s a need.

Oliver said his own Ace Drywall has only expanded in the last decade, moving from lumber and flooring to paints and the like. An initial project with The Way Christian Youth Center paved the way for more referrals and, eventually, a step into the carpet business. And for the past 25 years, Oliver has been deeply involved in timber and hardware distribution.

Therefore, this decision comes as a “natural fit,” while allowing him to reflect on his career.

Next year, he confirmed, will bring about even more opportunities with both businesses.
