As Swifties across the country are having trouble securing tickets to ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ film, fans locally can catch it at the Showbox in Hopkinsville.

Shane Pollock, owner of The Showbox, told the Elkton Rotary Club this week – that it was never in his “Wildest Dreams” to renovate a building that was falling apart and re-open the movie theater.

Pollock is also the “Mastermind” behind SAFE Construction of Hopkinsville and shared that he loves the people of western Kentucky.

He added it was a random phone call from the management of WK Cinemas – that said if you know of anyone interested in buying the theater, they would be willing to sell.

The Showbox opened for business Friday, October 6, after several months of extensive renovations and improvements of the theater. “Long Story Short” you can enjoy food from Mandrino’s Italian Restaurant inside The Showbox while catching the latest releases from Hollywood.

The Showbox also serves adult beverages from the Hopkinsville Brewing Company and Purple Toad Winery. The theater features five themed theaters, with several movies available every day.

Taylor Swift’s concert film will start showing on Friday at the Showbox. Tickets can be purchased in advance here or in person. While there, you will enjoy comfy seating that is said to leave you in a “Lavender Haze.”
