U.S. Supreme Court To Decide On Hearing Dunlap Appeal

A date has now been set for the Supreme Court to decide whether or not it will hear the case of admitted triple murderer Kevin Wayne Dunlap.

Clarksville Police have identified the victim of Friday afternoon's fatal shooting and arrested three young men in connection to the murder. Clarksville Police Sergeant Charles Gill reports that investigators say 19-year old Adam Marquez was shot and killed during an altercation which escalated into gunfire Friday afternoon in the yard of a residence across the street from the YMCA on Needmore Road. 20-year old Joshua Aretz, 18-year old Clinton Hunter III, and a 17-year old juvenile have been charged with criminal homicide. Democratic candidate Joey Pendleton says the race for Hopkinsville Mayor can now get down to the issues after Republican Carter Hendricks announced the end of his affiliation with the Kentucky New Era. Pendleton told the News Edge Hendricks' decision will help make the Friday, September 5th, debate at the Murray State University Regional Campus in Hopkinsville about the issues.     Pendleton says he will be kicking his campaign into high gear next week.     The noon debate will be sponsored by WKMS in Murray.
