Marshall County Woman Killed In Fire

Officials have identified an elderly Marshall County woman who was killed in a fire Thursday morning. Rescue personnel recovered the remains of Ruth Woodyard from her motor home Thursday, after firefighters put out the blaze that destroyed the vehicle.

Reports indicate that Woodyard, who was bedridden, and her husband Lester, who was not in the vehicle, were living in the motor home, while they were building a house near Kenlake State Park. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
