State Police Seize 455 Lbs Of Marijuana In Bust

Kentucky State Police say a Todd County man is facing multiple drug charges after a search warrant was executed at his Miller Valley Road home Tuesday. The report says KSP Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations West and South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force initiated an investigation that led to the execution of a search warrant Tuesday at 1130 Miller Valley Rd, Elkton, the residence of Mervin Sears.
State Police say Sears was arrested after officials discovered approximately 455 pounds of processed marijuana, 307 marijuana plants, 16,349-dollars in cash, 10 firearms, indoor grow equipment and assorted drug paraphernalia inside his home. Sears was charged with trafficking in marijuana over five pounds, cultivation of marijuana over five plants and possession of drug paraphernalia. KSP Post 2 and Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force assisted with the execution of the search warrant.
