Thirteen representatives from Christian, Todd and Trigg counties were in Frankfort, Wednesday, to meet with State House and Senate leadership, and Governor Beshear on behalf of the Southern Pennyrile Chamber Alliance.
The Alliance currently has several projects they are supporting, including the construction and completion of Hopkinsville Community College's Agriculture Health Science & Technologies Building Project, funding for a Career Path Institute in the Southern Pennyrile, ensuring the Southern Pennyrile is provided with up-to-date telecommunications, and supporting the advancement of the Murray State University Breathitt Veterinary Center Project.
The group met with several House and Senate leaders including Representatives John Tilley, Martha Jane King, Myron Dossett, and State Senators Stan Humphries, and Whitney Westerfield.
