8th District State House Representative John Tilley will appear in a PBS show later this year to talk about his penal code reform passed in 2011.
Representative Tilley was interviewed in his office Friday for the PBS show Frontline about his work in the House Judiciary Committee that he's served in since 2009. Specifically about his work to reverse Kentucky's growing prison popluation that was ranked one of the nation's fastest growing prison populations from 2000 to 2010. Tilley sponsored House Bill 463 in 2011 that reformed the penal code in Kentucky and has since lowered prison numbers and is set to save the state more than 400 million dollars by 2021.
