Fourteen area businesses are being recognized for their contribution and commitment to the community after being honored during the Christian County Chamber Small Business Awards Breakfast. One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the Sunset Award, an honor presented to a long standing business recently closed, Mobile Home City owner Jim Fleming.
The Century Award, an honor bestowed on a business that has been in operation for more than 50 years, was presented to Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, with owner Alan Beard accepting the award.

Specialized Services, Christian Way Farm;
Service Award, The Pet lodge;
Retail Food Service, Homestead Restaurant;
Retail Award, Super Lawn and Garden;
Residential Construction, Kenny Ellis Construction;
Regionalism Award, Hopkinsville Community College;
Non-Profit, USO at Fort Campbell;
Industrial Award, Kentucky Machine and Engineering;
Horizon Award, Polka-Dot-Pig;
Distribution Award, Hopkinsville Electric System;
Commercial Construction, Robinson Construction.
