It appears there could be some movement in regards to the situation surrounding Hopkinsville Community College President Dr. James Selbe. Hopkinsville Community College has announced that there will be a statement made regarding the status of Dr. Selbe's leave and the presidency at Hopkinsville Community College on Thursday. The statement is scheduled to be released at noon, following a special called session of the Board of Directors.
The HCC Board of Directors has announced that it will be meeting in a special called session Thursday morning. The only item on the agenda for the meeting is the discussion of an individual personnel matter.
Last week, it was announced that Selbe had been placed on leave by KCTCS President Michael McCall. McCall gave no specifics as to why he took the action, and, in fact, McCall did not notify the HCC Board of Directors until after he had placed Selbe on leave.
The special called meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled for 10am Thursday.
