While the future of the proposed hemp legislation in the Kentucky General Assembly is still up in the air, U.S. Senator Rand Paul continues to be supportive of legalizing a crop that was once grown across the state.
Senator Paul says if the General Assembly will approve, and then the Governor sign the bill to legalize industrial hemp in the state, he will go to the President seeking to expedite the process to allow producers in the state to grow the crop once again.
The Senator made the comments during a recent interview with the News Edge.
