Members of the Christian County Chamber of Commerce will be in Washington, DC, this week to discuss a number of critical issues, including the effect of sequestration on Fort Campbell. Chamber President Carter Hendricks says the Chamber will start meeting with federal lawmakers Wednesday.
Hendricks says some key agriculture issues will also be on the agenda.
Hendricks adds the local chamber delegation will join with the Citizens for Fort Campbell group Thursday, with the local effect of sequestration to be a major topic of discussion.
Other topics include a proper count of the military at Fort Campbell during the upcoming 2020 U. S. Census.
