Meth Lab Found In Crofton

The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force continues to investigate the discovery of a meth lab in the Crofton area. According to a news release, after receiving an anonymous tip, the Task Force executed a search warrant Monday at a residence at 9655 Dawson Springs Road.

During the course of the search, officers found items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, including a propane tank, which tested positive for ammonia. The items were found throughout the inside of the house, in the garage, and around the outside of the house. Investigators say no one was at home at the time of the search, but it did appear that children lived in the home, due to the clothes and toys that were found at the scene.

The investigation into the discovery is continuing by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, and investigators say charges are pending. The Hopkinsville Police Department Special Investigations Unit assisted in the investigation.
