A Hopkinsville man was killed and another injured in a single vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Butler Road. The News Edge spoke with Lt. Wade Connell with the Christian County Sheriff' Department on the scene.
Christian County Deputy Coroner Mike Stokes said the passenger in the truck, 45-year old Jerome Casto, was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports indicate that Casto was an employee of Young's Plumbing, who owns the truck involved in the crash. The driver of the truck was 45-year old James Young, of Princeton Road, Hopkinsville. Young was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of what were termed non-life threatening injuries.
The accident occurred around 2:30pm, near the 3 mile marker on Butler Road, about a half mile south of the intersection with Vaughns Grove-Fairview Road.
