Trigg County Indictments

The Trigg County Grand Jury returned a number of indictments last week, including individuals accused in the Timbers Steakhouse robbery. 35-year old Michelle Wease and 21-year old Tavaras Poindexter, were both indicted on charges of 1st Degree Complicity to Robbery. The two are accused of robbing Carolyn Brown, the restaurant owner's wife, as she left the restaurant late one Saturday night in June. Initial reports said two men waited outside in between two cars and grabbed her purse containing the restaurant's money and her personal belongings before fleeing. Wease, an employee of Timbers, was later connected to the robbery and arrested. Poindexter was arrested in Fargo, North Dakota. Another unnamed suspect is still at large.

The Grand Jury also indicted 36-year old David Southwick on charges of Wanton Endangerment and two counts of Cruelty to Animals. In May, State Police responded to a accidental shooting of a two year old child at Southwick's home. The child was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center for a non-life threatening injury to the head.

20-year old Traci Powell, of Lafayette, Louisiana was indicted on a charge of Custodial Interference. Powell is accused of traveling to Kentucky, in February, and picking up her 17-year old brother Richard Compton, who had been reported as missing at that time. He was later found living in Louisiana, in April.

Others indicted include 25-year old Benjamin Terrell, of Eddyville, on a charge of 3rd Degree Rape, and 29-year old John Martin Linton, and 24-year old Kelly Sue Cundiff, both of Cadiz, and 28-year old Jason Outlaw, of Hopkinsville on Methamphetamine and other related charges.
