All US Army Corps of Engineers regulatory offices, including the Nashville District, will shut down Tuesday due to the absence of available federal appropriations. Corps officials say during the shutdown, regulatory offices will be unable to evaluate individual permit applications, pre-construction notifications for nationwide permit or regional general permit authorizations, or requests for jurisdictional determinations. Work on these actions will resume when regulatory offices reopen.
While the offices are closed, officials say should an emergency activity need to be conducted in waters or wetlands that require a Department of the Army authorization, those in charge need to contact the Nashville District Operations Division at 615-736-7271.
