Trial Against Holland For Cousin's Murder In Day 2

The murder trial against Micah Holland is in recess until Thursday. During the preceding Tuesday, Steve Holland testified in Christian Circuit Court that he told his son several times the night of September 8, 2012 and the early morning of September 9, 2012 to just go home, instead of looking for his cousin, Joey Weatherwax.

He also played a voicemail from Micah the night of Weatherwax's death.

Holland and Weatherwax's cousin Kyle Cherry also took the stand Tuesday. Cherry, who was with Weatherwax the night of the murder, says Holland called Weatherwax several times that night and the two argued. He testified that he never saw Weatherwax with a gun, but he did see him with a two by four.

Holland is accused of shooting Weatherwax and then running him over with his car. The trial will resume Thursday morning and is expected to last through at least Friday.
