CEO Of Chik-fil-A Stepping Down

Reports out of Atlanta say that Truett Cathy is stepping down as the CEO of Chick-fil-A. Those same reports say his son, Dan, will assume the role of Chairman, President and CEO. The 92-year old Cathy started the business in 1946, when he and his brother, Ben, opened an Atlanta diner known as Dwarf Grill, later renamed Dwarf House.

In 1967, Truett Cathy founded and opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta's Greenbriar Shopping Center. Although giving up the reins as CEO, Truett Cathy will assume the title of Founder and Chairman Emeritus and will continue to focus on his other entrepreneurial endeavors.
