Leadership Hopkinsville Started With School Tech Center

The first Leadership Hopkinsville Class was filled with many people who are still influential in the community today and recent Leadership members took time to honor them Thursday night. Christian County Clerk Mike Kem, Tommie Sue Pniewski, and Wynn Radford talked about the start of Leadership Hopkinsville and the first ever projects. Kem says the project, a tech school in the county, started with fellow class members Austin Carroll and John Hall.

Pniewski also talked about starting Youth Leadership and the goal behind each program.

Radford says in 1986 it was a revolutionary idea for local graduates.

Also in the first Leadership Hopkinsville Class were Tim McGinnis, Jerry Russell, Gail Deatheridge, Jim Adams Junior, Betty Veatch Adams, Andra Gold, Valerie Reeves, Clay Wells, Linda Ledford, De Gaddie, Carolyn Presley, Rick Deason, Carl Swanson, Steve Underwood, Malcolm Gardner, and Willie Kendrick.
