UPDATE - Investigators Discuss Greenville Road Murder

Christian County Sheriff's Detective Steve Tucker says they are still developing suspects in the Sunday morning murder that occurred at a home on Greenville Road. Sheriff Livy Leavell confirmed 21-year old Antonio Cross, who was asleep inside his Greenville Road home, was shot just after 2:00 am during an apparent drive-by type shooting.
Tucker says they have interviewed a number of people, but do not have any suspects in the shooting death of Antonio Cross.

Tucker would not say if the shooting was gang related, but noted it could have stemmed from an earlier incident.

Tucker refuted claims by family members that officials took a long time responding to the scene Sunday morning.

Tucker noted that the Christian County Ambulance arrived at the scene before the Sheriff's Deputy, but waited to approach the home due to safety concerns.

Tucker says the shooter or shooters apparently used some type of assault rifle to shoot at the home multiple times. He adds the victim's mother, neice and nephew were in the home at the time of the shooting, but were uninjured.
