Todd County Student's Woolly Worm Forecast

One Todd County student has taken folk weather forecasting to the max this year after collecting a large number of woolly worms.

Todd County Standard Publisher Ryan Craig says Michael Hurt, a North Todd Elementary School Student has been collecting woolly worms.

Craig says the worms have a pretty definitive forecast for this winter season.

The Old Farmer's Almanac says in 1948 Dr. C. H. Curran, curator of insects at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, began collecting woolly bear worms and attempting to forecast the coming weather by looking at the worms stripes.
