Country Boy Store Attacker Will Stand Trial

The man accused of attacking a local business owner with a hatchet will stand trial in January, after a competency hearing in Christian County Tuesday morning. William Fields appeared in Christian Circuit Judge Andrew Self's courtroom to determine his competency to stand trial. Judge Self relayed what the doctors at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center had determined and gave his judgment.

The trial for Fields is set for January 6th. Fields is accused of attacking Gant Golladay with a tomahawk on October 31st, 2012 at the Country Boy Store, and then fleeing to Murray, where he was arrested at Walmart.
