Law Enforcement Urges Caution

Law enforcement officers around the area are asking the public to slow down and be cautious if they are forced to travel during the winter weather. Hopkinsville Public Information Officer Paul Ray says changing conditions can be tricky.

Christian County Sheriff's Captain Chris Miller says you're best bet to avoid accidents is to stay off the roads altogether.

Ray says to watch for bridges and other areas that ice over quickly.

Miller says it's also important to check on pets and animals and keep them from becoming victims of the cold weather.
