First Candidate For Mayor

The first candidate for Hopkinsville City Mayor has filed paperwork to run in the 2014 election. Former Hopkinsville City Council candidate Jason McCraw filed Monday to run as a Republican in the 2014 primary. Christian County Chamber President and CEO Carter Hendricks announced last week that he is planning to run but has not yet filed paperwork. McCraw says he's not sure Hendricks is the right Republican for Hopkinsville.

McCraw says if he is elected he would focus his attention on efficientcy and the Hopkinsville Police Department.

McCraw has run multiple times against Ward 5 Councilman Charlie Henderson. He is a veteran and small business owner in Hopkinsville.
