Holland Sentenced For His Cousin's Murder

Micah Holland was found guilty of murder last month and he will now serve 20 years in prison, after being officially sentenced Wednesday afternoon in Christian Circuit Court. Judge Andrew Self offered Holland to opportunity to speak on his behalf before being sentenced for the murder of his cousin, Joey Weatherwax, but Holland declined.

Holland will be given credit for the 466 days he has already served in jail. Holland recently fired his attorneys and a public defender will be appointed to oversee his appeal. Holland was found guilty of shooting Weatherwas outside a Herndon home in September 2012 and then running over him with a car.
