Hopkinsville Police Charge Man After Cutting Incident

A Hopkinsville man is facing an assault charge after allegedly chasing another resident in the Bradford Square Mall parking lot Sunday. Hopkinsville Police say 39-year old Michael Sims was arrested around 7:00pm after he and 26-year old Justin Miller were involved in an altercation.

Though the report is not clear on the sequence of events, Sims admitted to cutting Miller, causing serious physical injury. The two were reportedly involved in a physical confrontation on the Mall lot and when Miller fled, Sims attacked him. Officers were called to the scene for a vehicle chasing another vehicle. The incident happened just after 3:00pm.
