NWS Forecaster Looks At Possible Historic Cold Weather

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a special weather statement for the listening area. Forecasters say a winter storm coming in late this weekend will bring with it brutal arctic cold not felt in the region for years. Lead Forecaster David Humphrey says the system will move into the area Saturday night.

A look at the record books shows you have to go back to the winter of 1995-1996 for cold of this magnitude. Another winter storm system may impact the area next Wednesday. Additional wintry accumulations will be possible.
