Grimes Officially Files For Senate Race



The much anticipated showdown between incubment Senator Mitch McConnell and Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes is now officially a possiblity. Grimes officially filed her papers Thursday to be on the ballot for the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by McConnell.

Grimes, who is Kentucky's Secretary of State, currently faces a primary challenge from Louisville Democrat Tom Recktenwald. McConnell is currently facing a primary challenge from Louisville businessman, and Tea Party candidate Matt Bevin, and Owensboro resident Gurley Martin.
