UPDATE - Power Knocked Out By Winter Storm



Around 1300 Pennyrile Rural Electric customers in Christian, Trigg, Todd counties are still feeling the effects of Tuesday night's ice storm. Mark Giltner with Pennyrile Rural Electric says in Cadiz 19 outages are still affecting 144 members. In Hopkinsville 567 members are still without power from 40 outages. 601 customers in Elkton are still in the dark from 25 outages. And in Russellville 5 outages are still affecting 9 members. Giltner says the power outages are being caused by two types of problems.


   
Hopkinsville Electric General Manager Austin Carroll says they are pleased to report all customers power has been restored.


   
Overnight, more than 3000 Pennyrile Rural Electric customers were affected, while between 500 and 600 HES customers were without power.
