Trigg Sheriff's Investigation Leads To Conviction

A 2012 drug investigation led by Sgt. Mark Nichols with the Trigg County Sheriff's Department has resulted in prison time for a Hopkinsville man. Nichols says 31-year-old Marshall Turner, II, was stopped in Trigg County because of an unrelated arrest warrant.

Turner was sentenced in January to eight years for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) 1st Degree 1st Offense, 12 months for Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, and 45 days for Possession of Marijuana. The Trigg County Sheriff's Office also seized $845.58 of drug money, which was forfeited to the department.
