No Action At Special Called Committee Meeting

Hopkinsville City Council members discussed economic development at a special called Committee of the Whole meeting Monday night. Council members met for 30 minutes in closed session Monday. Following the closed session Committee Chairman Don Ahart said no action was taken.

Last Thursday Committee of the Whole heard from developers about possible retail, hotel, restaurant, and car dealership moving to the area near the James Bruce Convention Center. At this time it is unknown whether the special called meeting was connected to the possible new developments. Sources say an economic development announcement is expected Thursday afternoon.
