Four Charged After Saturday Morning Shooting
Two men are charged with Attempted Murder, while the victim of a Saturday morning shooting and a female companion face drug and other charges following an incident Saturday morning on Maggie Road, in Trigg County. Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam tells the News Edge, deputies were called out around 10:30 Saturday morning after 31-year old Daniel Heinricy waved down a vehicle after suffering a gunshot wound to his leg.
When the ambulance arrived on the scene, Heinricy decided to refuse treatment from EMS, and was instead taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by his mother. Burnam says Heinricy was treated and released at Jennie Stuart. Following treatment, Heinricy was arrested on charges of 1st Degree Trafficking in Meth, Possession of Marijuana, Failure to Appear, and Giving a False Name or Address. Also arrested was 37-year old Christie Haddock. Haddock was charged with 1st Degree Possession of Meth, 2nd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, and 3rd Degree Assault.
As a result of the investigation into the shooting, the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department shortly after the incident arrested 54-year old Charles Richard Fulks, at his residence on Maggie Road, on a charge of Attempted Murder. A gun believed to have been used in the incident was then discovered in a creek bed along Old Dover Road. The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office then obtained an arrest warrant and began a search for Jon Michael Adams.
Late Saturday night, the Sheriff’s Department received a tip on the location of Adams and went to his residence on Kentucky 139 South. He was taken into custody just before midnight Saturday night and charged with Attempted Murder. Sheriff Burnam was unsure as to just what might have led to the shooting. All those arrested were taken and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
