McConnell Picks Up Chamber Endorsement

The campaign of incumbent Senator Mitch McConnell received a big boost Friday. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced that it was endorsing McConnell for another term in office.  According to an Associated Press report, the Chamber has already spent $200,000 on ads in support of the Republican Senator from Kentucky.

A spokesman for the Chamber added that McConnell is the organization’s top priority for the upcoming elections. McConnell faces a primary from Louisville businessman Matt Bevin, and if he wins that election, a likely November race against Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes.
