Edgar Cayce Birthday Celebration

The city of Hopkinsville will honor one of its most famous sons with the 22nd Annual Edgar Cayce Hometown Seminar on March 30 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Pennyroyal Area Museum. Cayce, a world-reknown psychic, was born in Hopkinsville on March 18, 1877. The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County will host the tribute with lectures and a guided tour of the places Cayce lived and worked. Cayce reportedly predicted both world wars, the 1929 stock market crash and his own death on Jan. 3, 1945. His client list supposedly included Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Edison.

The seminar will feature Sydney Kirkpatrick, author of "Edgar Cayce: An American Prophet," and celebrity hypnotist Doug MacCraw, who will perform at the Alhambra Theater. Call 270-887-4270 for reservations or more information.
