Funeral Services For Qua Weaver Saturday

Just a week after he was killed in an accident on the Bluegrass Parkway, the second of the two Christian County High School students who died on their way home from the Boys Sweet 16 will be laid to rest. According to information from Gamble Funeral Home, funeral services for 17-year old Dequavias "Qua" Weaver will be Saturday, at 3:00pm, at Second Baptist Church.

Weaver and 17-year old Jacob Blankenship were killed in the crash, which occurred in the westbound lanes of the parkway, near the Anderson County-Mercer County line. Dendrick Holmes and Josh Harbold were injured. Holmes was released from the UK Medical Center Saturday, while Harbold remains hospitalized. The teens were returning home after going to the Hopkinsville game in the Boys Sweet 16. Qua Weaver had just celebrated his 17th birthday the day before the crash.
