Tennessee Woman Injured In Lyon County Accident



A Tennessee woman was transported to Caldwell Medical Center following a single vehicle accident Saturday morning on Interstate 24 in Lyon County. State Police say 66-year old Janet Powell, of Shelbyville, was eastbound when she fell asleep near the 42 mile marker, close to the intersection with Interstate 69.

Her vehicle exited right shoulder, crossed a ditch, and then struck an embankment. Powell was transported for treatment of a possible shoulder injury following the accident, which occurred around 8:30am Saturday.
