State Police Arrest Three Hopkins County Residents

Three Hopkins County residents face drug and other charges following their arrests by Kentucky State Police Friday evening in Christian County. According to the report, it was around 7:22pm, when State Police observed two vehicles parked at the dead end of KY 2171, near the Pennyrile Parkway. A male subject was observed standing outside of a red GMC truck, making what appeared to be a hand to hand drug transaction.

State Police then initiated a traffic stop on the two vehicles.  A female, later identified as 45-year old Tamberly Young, of Earlington, exited the passenger side of the red GMC and fled the scene on foot. She was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. State Police located drugs and drug paraphernalia that Young allegedly had thrown into a wooded area. She was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Fleeing or Evading, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 1st Degree Possession of Cocaine.

65-year old Robert Young, of Earlington, the driver of the red GMC truck was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana, 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle, 1st Degree Driving on a DUI Suspended License, and DUI 3rd Offense. Also arrested was 51-year old Marshall Holeman, of Nebo, who was charged with 1st Degree Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
